Shield of Crows

While holding this shield, you can speak its command work to summon a swarm of ravens. For up to 12 hours, these birds will scout terrain, warn you of enemies, and keep watch while you sleep. They do not engage in combat on your behalf and flee if attacked or threatened. After the duration, the shield cannot summon another swarm until after you have left a loaf of bread, bits of dried meat, or similar food on the shield during a short rest. In addition, while holding the shield, you gain the ability to speak with crows and other corvids.

A shield is made from wood or metal and is carried in one hand. Wielding a shield increases your Armor Class by 2. You can benefit from only one shield at a time.
