Eliphas can use his action to polymorph into a Large bear-humanoid hybrid or into a Large bear, or back into his true form, which is humanoid. His statistics, other than his size and AC, are the same in each form. Any equipment he is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. He reverts to his true form if he dies.

Eliphas has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Eliphas casts one of the following spells, using Intelligence as the spellcasting ability (save DC 15):

• At will: light, minor illusion, prestidigitation
• 2/day each: detect magic, fog cloud
• 1/day each: phantasmal force, shatter

In bear form, Eliphas makes two claw attacks. In humanoid form, he makes two greataxe attacks. In hybrid form, he can attack like a bear or a humanoid.

Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) piercing damage. If the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with werebear lycanthropy.
